Marsh men Edward Stanley and David Croft on child porn charges

TWO Huddersfield men have appeared in court on separate child porn charges.

Edward Stanley, 58, of Le Marchant Avenue, Lindley, appeared before Huddersfield magistrates yesterday on 23 counts of making indecent images of children.

The case was committed to Bradford Crown Court, where he could face trial by jury.

He will appear there on August 19 and was granted unconditional bail.

David Croft, 62, of Croft House Lane, Marsh, also went before Huddersfield magistrates yesterday.

Croft is charged with 21 offences of possessing indecent images of children.

In March it was decided the case should be heard at Bradford Crown Court.

But yesterday Croft’s solicitor said the case was still not ready to be committed to allow more time to consider photographic evidence.

Croft will reappear again at Huddersfield Magistrates on July 15 at 9.45am. He was granted unconditional bail.
