MASKED, knife-wielding raiders attacked a man in his home.
The intruders burst into the 36-year- old victim's house in Rosemary Close, Rastrick, at 1.40am on Wednesday.
He was watching TV alone when he heard a knock on the door. When he answered it, two men forced their way in.
The man was headbutted by one raider and the other cut his face with a large carving knife. They searched the kitchen, then fled. It is not clear what, if anything, was stolen.
The victim went home after treatment at Calderdale Royal Hospital, Halifax.
