THREE masked men raided the Co-op store on Leeds Road in Dewsbury.
They threatened staff, demanding cash from the till around 10.35pm on Thursday.
They made off in a burgundy Ford Focus displaying false number plates with a 'W' registration.
The vehicle drove along Leeds Road and was involved in a collision with a silver coloured car which was turning right out of Owl Lane.
The silver vehicle is believed to have stopped for a time.
Officers would like to speak to the driver of the silver car and would also like any information regarding the Ford Focus.
