FIREFIGHTERS battled a huge blaze just off the M62.
Six crews tackled the fire at West 26 Industrial Estate, Hanging Wood Way, in Cleckheaton. Firefighters were called to the blazing food processing plant just after 2.30am on Saturday. The single-storey building, which is 60 metres by 40 metres, was well alight and crews spent the rest of the night dousing the flames and then damping down. The fire was mainly in the loading bay. Two aerial appliances were used. Fire crews from Huddersfield, Dewsbury, Batley, Cleckheaton and Odsal were called.
