A huge slice of Huddersfield town centre is to be out of bounds because of roadworks.
Kirklees Council has confirmed major resurfacing works are to take place right through the heart of the centre, from Southgate to Castlegate, starting later this month.
And it will mean the closures of many roads over several days while the work is under way.
The resurfacing work will take in Kirkgate, Westgate and Trinity Street.

It comes as drivers get used to the new bus gates scheme recently launched in the centre of Huddersfield.
Many drivers have been fined for driving on streets that are closed to all but buses.
Kirklees Council has confirmed they are about to start essential resurfacing works in Huddersfield.
The roadworks, which will be in the Kirkgate/Westgate area of the town, are expected to start on June 20 and last for around a month.
A spokesman said: “The resurfacing work will take place between Southgate and Castlegate but will be broken down into phases to minimise local disruption.
“To further minimise disruption no work will take place on Friday and Saturday.

“Whilst each section is being resurfaced, road closures and local diversions will be in place. The planned road closures are weather dependent but are scheduled to take place as follows.”
The works schedule is:
Southgate to Venn Street will be closed to through traffic from Mon 20 June to Thurs 23 June and on Thurs 30 June.
Venn Street to Market Place junction (McDonald’s) will be closed to through traffic from Sun 26 June to Weds 29 June and on Thurs 30 June.
Junction to Station Street will be closed to through traffic on Sun 26 June, Sunday 3 July and Tuesday 6 July.
Station Street to Henry Street will be closed to through traffic on Sun 29 June and Monday 4 July to Wednesday 6 July.
Henry Street and New North Parade junctions will be closed to through traffic on Weds 6 July, Sun 17 July to Mon 18 July and Tues 19 July.
Henry Street to Castlegate will be closed to through traffic on Thurs 7 July and Mon 11 July to Weds 13 July.
Drivers are advised to use the signed diversion routes whilst the work is taking place.
