A rare football programme for an England game staged in Huddersfield nearly 60 years ago, was sold for £750 at Sotheby's in London. The programme cost just two old pennies - less than a penny in today's money. Before the auction, experts predicted the rare black and white programme for the England v Holland game at Leeds Road on November 27,1946 - one of England's first post war internationals - would fetch between £400 and £600. At the sale, organised by Graham Budd Auctions, a 1928 Huddersfield Town v Blackburn FA Cup final programme sold for £550 and two 1938 Huddersfield v Preston FA Cup final programmes each sold for £280.
