A SPECIAL school lost 4-1 in its first competitive soccer match against a mainstream school. But the boys of Nortonthorpe Hall School, Scissett, which caters for children with behavioural and emotional difficulties, are far from down-hearted. Pupils travelled to Helme to take on a team from the village school after a soccer skills course . Scissett hairdressing salon Ruffles sponsored a new kit for the team. Andrew Kitterick, Nortonthorpe Hall learning mentor, said:

"

Helme have suggested that we have regular matches, perhaps every six months."
