CLASSICAL boy band G4 did it their way to make it to the next round of TV pop contest The X Factor.
The London foursome, which includes 24-year-old former Huddersfield University music student Matt Stiff (far left) are pictured at yesterday's Smash Hits Poll Winners party 2004, at Wembley Arena in London. They won judge Sharon Osbourne's approval for their version of the classic Frank Sinatra anthem My Way.
"There's nothing like an English gentleman in a stunning suit and there's four of you," she beamed.
The other acts who made it through from Saturday night's show were Tabby, Steve and Rowetta, who was described as half Shirley Bassey and half Cleo Laine.
But teenage songstress Cassie was finally voted off the show.
* Brighouse band Embrace's second single from their chart-topping album Out of Nothing went into the charts at number 11 yesterday.
