CHILDREN at Denby CE First School had a special visitor at lunchtime.
The Mayor of Kirklees Clr Andrew Palfreeman visited for lunch following an invitation.
Year five pupil Francesca Sharpe wrote to the mayor asking him to have a look around school and stay for a school dinner.
On the menu for the day was roast pork or quiche followed by jam sponge and custard or a healthier option of yoghurt and fruit.
