THEY’RE fast talkers at Huddersfield’s busy Media Centre.

The centre at Northumberland Street is staging its third PechaKucha session this Thursday at Cafe Ollo. Speakers can present on any topic, but the catch is they have to present 20 slides for 20 seconds each. It’s a rapid-fire format that can catch out even the most experienced public speakers.

The action gets under way at 7pm with a line-up including Mark Longbottom, of Design 58; James Beale, of Proper Job Theatre; Mandi Taylor, of The Sharp Agency; Andy Green, of Leagus; and Nadio Granata, from the University of Huddersfield.

PechaKucha Nights are popular in more than 300 cities worldwide. The word PechaKucha is a Japanese term for the sound of conversation.
