PARAMEDIC John Sayles wants to give a charity more than 999 reasons to celebrate.
The 40-year-old wants to raise £1,000 for counselling service Childline by running the Edinburgh Marathon on May 31.
The Kirkheaton man has raised nearly £200 so far.
He said: “I told myself that when I turned 40 I would train for a marathon.
“I’d like to finish in about three-and-a-half hours and raise about £1,000.”
