VOLUNTEERING Kirklees has come up with speed-dating with a difference.

The event on Tuesday, June 18, will allow 20 budding volunteers to meet 20 organisations.

Based on the concept of speed dating, the 20 would-be volunteers will have three-minute chats with each organisation.

It will feature a range of charities, voluntary and community groups along with not-for-profit organisations.

The participating organisations represent a wide variety of volunteering work with the event hoping to make as many matches as possible in a fun and innovative way.

Organisations taking part this year include Leonard Cheshire Disability, Communities United Project, Fusion Housing, Cloverleaf Advocacy and the West Yorkshire Forget Me Not Trust.

The event is at the Yorkshire Children’s Centre on New North Parade in Huddersfield on Tuesday, June 18, from 6pm to 8pm.

Individuals or organisations wishing to attend should book their place by calling Volunteering Kirklees on 01484 518457 or email:
