A PUBLIC meeting is being held over plans to develop a wind farm in Crow Edge.

Objections are being put forward against a proposal to erect three wind turbines on land between Hepworth Building Products, Crow Edge, and Carlecotes.

The plans are being opposed by Crow Edge Locals Opposing Wind Turbines (CLOWT).

The group has already compiled a 50-page document which they will be submitting to Kirklees Council planners.

They have also produced a CD-ROM showing the disadvantages of wind farms.

Both will be available for viewing at the meeting on Monday.

People are invited to attend at the Dog and Partridge pub, Board Hill, Penistone, from 7.30pm.
