HUDDERSFIELD University reported on its activities at an annual public meeting entitled Ten Years of the University of Huddersfield.

The meeting, at the Canalside West lecture theatre, Firth Street, outlined developments over the 11 years since the university changed its name from polytechnic in June 1992.

Vice-chancellor Prof John Tarrant paid particular attention to the major building work at the Queensgate campus.

Amanda Neylon works in the marketing department at Vauxhall Motors and

Karen Peterie spoke about 10-weeks experience at NASA during which she researched artificial intelligence.
