PASSENGERS have been invited to take part in a survey designed to improve information about public transport and delays in West Yorkshire.

The survey, conducted by public transport authority, Metro, and the county’s five councils aims to find out how people access travel information.

The project, part of the SmartCard Implementation Programme, which aims to change ticketing and travel information throughout the county, will shape how travel information is provided.

Metro Chairman, James Lewis, said: “We know that the recently updated Metro website delivers around 1.5m pages of transport-related information each month and the new mobile version of the site now provides much more useful travel information to people on the move...“We want to know what people think of the information they receive, how they use it and how they are likely to want to access that information in the future.’’
