THE CCTV image above was taken during an armed robbery at Premier Food and Wine that was reported in last Wednesday’s Examiner.

Two pictures have just become available and I’d like readers’ help in identifying the man shown.

The incident happened at about 10.30pm on January 14 when a man walked into the Milnsbridge shop brandishing a large kitchen knife and making demands for money out of the till.

He threatened both the shopkeeper and a customer before lunging at the shopkeeper with the knife.

The shopkeeper fought him off with a chair but suffered several cuts to his hands.

The would-be robber was forced to run away empty-handed.

He is white, slim, about 5ft 10ins tall and in his late 20s.

He was wearing a dark jacket, dark tracksuit bottoms and a light blue scarf.

Anyone who recognises the man pictured on the CCTV image should contact Huddersfield CID via 0845 6060606 or Crimestoppers, in confidence, on 0800 555111.
