A MAN from Milnsbridge has appeared in court accused of handling stolen goods.
Christopher Beaumont, of Tintern Avenue, denied the charge when he appeared before Kirklees magistrates on Tuesday.
Alex Bozman, prosecuting, said that the charge related to a burglary at a house on Sunday February 26.
He said that one of the items stolen was a 50-inch Panasonic plasma television, which is worth £1,100.
Mr Bozman told magistrates that on Friday July 13 police then attended Beaumont’s home in Milnsbridge.
He said: “At the address was a TV with the matching serial numbers to the one that was taken in the burglary.”
Magistrates have adjourned the 24-year-old’s case until Tuesday October 2 for his trial.
He was granted unconditional bail until that date.
