LITTER and fly-tipping will be cleared from a Huddersfield riverside.

But organisers need people to help.

On Saturday the Environmental Alliance will work on the footpath along the Milnsbridge/Paddock riverside to clear the unsightly litter.

Volunteers can join them at 10am for the clean-up which is expected to last until 2pm.

River warden Beth Allcock said: “Give as much or as little time as you can – an hour can make a big difference.”

The environmental activity day is open for all to attend but children must be accompanied by an adult.

Safety equipment is provided but volunteers need to wear sturdy shoes and warm clothes.

Meet organisers at 10am at the end of Stoney Battery Road.
