MAJOR renovations to a historic church will start soon.
The Community of the Resurrection at Mirfield will have work costing £2million carried out at the Grade II listed church.
The work is expected to begin in March on the Stocks Bank Road site.
And to boost funds, the church is e holding a series of fundraising events.
A Sale of the Centenary will take place on October 22 in the College Refectory. The church is one hundred years old this year.
It will be a cash in the attic style event where residents are invited to donate items for the auction.
So far the community has a picture of Princess Margaret and memorabilia relating to Anglican priest Trevor Huddleston, including his passport.
There are also rare books including a limited edition of the Passion narrative by Eric Gill.
Other items come from the worlds of war, art, cinema, history, comics and rare books.
