A TAKEAWAY delivery man was threatened at knifepoint before being robbed of £300 takings.

The 32-year-old was delivering an order at Old Bank Road, Mirfield, when he was approached by a group of five men.

They threatened the victim with a knife and took £300 in takings as well as the victim's mobile phone and two silver chains.

The suspects tied the victim to a washing pole and damaged his Toyota Corolla before making off up Sunny Bank Walk and on to Bright Street.

The victim was not injured during the robbery, which happened on Sunday night.

The men have been described as white in their late teens or early twenties.

All were around to 5ft 5in tall and wore dark clothing, except for one suspect who was skinny and around 6ft.

One of the suspects wore a balaclava and was of medium build.
