DETECTIVES have urged a car driver to come forward to help them investigate a fracas in Mirfield.

Dewsbury CID have made a further appeal for witnesses after disorder in Huddersfield Road, Mirfield, on July 4.

They want to trace the driver of a dark-coloured BMW saloon car, that was just metres from the incident when it took place, to come forward.

Two men, aged 39 and 26, were taken to hospital with serious injuries after an incident involving two groups of people.

A 23-year-old man has been charged with wounding and affray and six others are on police bail.

Some of those thought to be involved left the scene in a silver Renault Megane that drove down Huddersfield Road towards Cooper Bridge. The car was later recovered in Horbury.
