A MAN has appeared in court after police found drugs in a Mirfield property.

Nathan McCarthy, of Northway Gardens, Mirfield, was before Kirklees magistrates yesterday.

He faces three charges of possession with intent to supply on October 28.

McCarthy, 24, gave no indication as to what his plea will be.

Alex Bosman, prosecuting, said that a police search at the address revealed three kinds of controlled drugs.

These were 0.396 grams of Class A drug MDMA, also known as ecstasy.

Officers also found 22 grams of MMC and 77 grams of cannabis, both Class B drugs, the prosecutor said.

Mr Bosman said that also found were other powders, mixing agents, various scales and plastic bags.

Magistrates said McCarthy’s case should be dealt with at crown court.

They adjourned his case until May 17. McCarthy was remanded in custody.
