Model railway enthusiasts celebrated their hobby in memory of an exhibition’s founder.

Peter Dransfield first launched Mirfield Model Railway Exhibition 26 years ago. He died suddenly in March aged 75.

However, his widow Jennie vowed this year’s exhibition – the sixth since it was revived – would go on, dedicated to her late husband’s memory.

Exhibitors come from as far as Europe to show their displays. Every year there are more than 20 displays, some never seen in public before.

The exhibition, held at St Mary’s Parish Church in Mirfield, raises money for the Mirfield Team Parish Music Guild.
