A TEENAGER has been jailed after he was caught on a Mirfield estate – only three days after he was banned from it.
Eighteen-year-old Jordan Watkinson, was barred from entering the notorious London Park Estate in Mirfield on December 30.
He received a six-month Anti Social Behaviour Injunction (ASBI) – similar to an Asbo, but mainly used in relation to housing issues.
But just three days later, on January 2, he was spotted on the estate and arrested.
He was given the temporary ASBI after persistent anti-social behaviour offences on the estate.
But now, after a hearing at Dewsbury County Court, he has been imprisoned for seven days.
He is also set to face trial for affray after allegedly attacking police officers and damaging a police car by throwing missiles last May.
He has been sent to HMP Doncaster and will appear at Leeds Crown Court next Tuesday for a further hearing.
The action came after a joint operation by the Dewsbury and Mirfield Neighbourhood Policing Team and Kirklees Neighbourhood Housing (KNH), who have been working in partnership since the summer of 2011 to tackle anti-social behaviour and criminal activity on the London Park estate.
Pc Chris Bullock who, along with Pc Gary Guy, patrols the estate regularly said: “This ASBI is another good result for the law- abiding people of London Park.”
