A GRIEVING widow admitted: A 100-year jail sentence will not bring my husband back.

Josie Theodore spoke out after seeing the thug who killed her husband Ronnie jailed for just four years.

And she admitted: "Ronnie's been missed so much, especially over Christmas".

Mrs Theodore, a childminder from Heckmondwike, made her comments after seeing teenager Anthony Harrison admit manslaughter.

He admitted he killed the 40-year-old father of two with a single punch, after goading him by abusing his wife in a late-night confrontation in Westfield Road.

He was jailed for a total of four years, after admitting other offences of violence.

Speaking after the case, distraught widow Josie said: "Obviously Ronnie's been missed so much, especially over Christmas.

"Ronnie was a devoted father, a fantastic loving husband and very loyal

friend, a man of reason and he always had an intelligent thing to say.

"Our children are struggling to cope without their dad and I am struggling but trying to stay strong for them."

On the sentencing she said: "It is very difficult to put a timescale on what you think he should have been given but 100 years would not be enough because it won't change what happened or bring Ronnie back.

"The police have done a fantastic job and been really supportive so I want to thank them."

The couple have an eight- year-old son Alex and a daughter Ellie Louise, aged four.

Mrs Theodore said: "Ron was a great husband and a fantastic father and we all loved him very much.

"He was very content with family life and absolutely adored his children.

"He loved his football and had a huge circle of friends through his Sunday league games.

"Everyone has been touched by his death and we all miss him greatly."
