A BOY was found safe and well early today after a massive police search.
About 30 officers, including dog handlers, joined a police helicopter, a search and rescue team, friends and family to scour the area where 10-year-old Matthew Dale Jamieson, of Liversedge, was last seen yesterday evening.
But it was a member of the West Yorkshire Police control room staff travelling home who saw him outside the search area at about 4.15am today.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "It was just pure luck."
Matthew, who was found near his home, was reunited with his parents and is being spoken to by police.
He had gone missing on a walk home with his older brother from his grandmother's house in Union Street, Liversedge.
The 12-year-old boy arrived home safely.
The alarm was then raised to find Matthew, who had been missing since 6.45pm yesterday.
