A SCHOOLGIRL who went missing from her Huddersfield home has been found safe and well.
On Sunday evening police admitted they were “very concerned” about 14-year-old Christie Nelson.
She had vanished from her Lindley home just 24 hours earlier.
But on Monday morning police revealed they had located the missing teenager
Police initially made an appeal for information on Sunday night to trace the missing schoolgirl and released a photograph of her to help in the hunt.
Officers said Christie was last seen around 7.10pm on Saturday evening at her home address in the Lindley area of Huddersfield.
Officers said they had becoming increasingly concerned for Christie’s welfare as her disappearance is out of character.
The investigation was being run by specialist officers attached to the Missing Persons Unit, which is based at Dewsbury Police Station.
