A NATIONWIDE TV appeal to trace a missing Huddersfield man brought in several calls – but no breakthrough.

The case of Steven Cooper was screened on the Missing programme on BBC1 yesterday morning.

His brother, Chris Cooper – a detective in the Metropolitan Police – was interviewed in the studio.

Steven, 47, vanished from his home on Scar Lane in Golcar on January 21 and his Ford Focus was found near the village of Moy in northern Scotland six days later.

His sister, Trish Cooper, said: “There were several calls made to the charity Missing People. Huddersfield Police followed these up, but unfortunately nothing has come of them so far.’’
