A HUDDERSFIELD teenager has won a contract with a top model agency.

Chloe Adams, 14, of Oakes, came second at the Grand Final of the Model Girl 2006 competition, organised by Model Search UK.

Chloe, who dreams of one day pursuing a career as a singer, now has a one-year casting contract with Impact Models.

She reached the final after winning the Huddersfield heat at The George Hotel.

She said: "I was absolutely thrilled to come runner-up in the competition as it was totally unexpected.

"This is all very exciting for me and I can't wait to start getting some jobs."

Modelling is not totally new to Chloe, after being spotted by a model scout in the town centre, she entered the Huddersfield Model Girl 2006 and won.

Eleven girls contested the final of Model Girl 2006, which was held at the Hilton Hotel in St Helens.

The organiser of the event, Jason Rowland, said: "It's such a shame that there had to be losers.

"The girls' standard was so high, it was a very hard job for the judges.

"I am deeply grateful to everyone involved for making the event such a success, and I am looking forward to doing it all over again in 2007."
