STAFF from Highroyd care home in Moldgreen took part in a sponsored stroll in aid of Dementia Awareness Week.
For the second year running, staff and family members of residents walked around two miles to raise money for The Alzheimer’s Society UK and the home’s residents fund.
Home manager Kim Hirst said: “We believe it is important that we highlight this debilitating disease.”
The group carried a bucket and received £40 from passers-by.
With sponsorship money, they are expected to make around £300.
Dementia Awareness week finished yesterday.
