RESIDENTS can enjoy their little bit of green and pleasant land even more now.

And it’s thanks to their own hard work and the kindness of the Royal Antediluvian Order Of Buffaloes.

Residents at Aden Court Care Home in Moldgreen have been working on a gardening project.

And it’s bloomed – which means they can enjoy being outside even more.

Maddie Simpson, activities co-ordinator, said: “I wrote to the Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes telling them that we were developing the garden.

“They have paid for a lovely table and chair set with a parasol and it is beautiful, the residents love it.

“We’ve been potting plants and growing vegetables including tomatoes and French beans, and working in the garden and it means they now have somewhere to sit and enjoy a bit of peace and tranquility.

“The residents have told us that, weather permitting, they’d like to do more outside.”

They’re now turning their efforts to a potting shed and patio for the care home.
