TWO men followed a pensioner and tried to rob him.
The 70-year-old walked past a group of men after getting off a bus in Birkby at about 7.20pm on Sunday.
Two of them followed him down a passageway between Halifax Road and Inglewood Avenue.
One grabbed him, said he had a knife and started to search him but ran off when a car drove past. The second robber fled when the man called for help.
Both men were white and slim. One was about 18 and 5ft 11ins to 6ft tall. The other was about 5ft 7ins tall with short, ginger hair.
