AN ELDERLY woman from Wakefield whose death led to an arrest in Huddersfield had suffered multiple stab wounds.
A post mortem carried out on 77-year-old Margaret Hartley on Monday revealed that she had been stabbed to death.
Mrs Hartley, a widow, was found in her house in Horbury on Friday.
A 41-year-old woman was arrested on Chapel Hill near Huddersfield town centre shortly afterwards.
She had non-life threatening stab wounds and has been detained at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary under the Mental Health Act.
Police enquiries are continuing.
