CHILDREN have been learning about things they can see.

And who better to teach them than an optician.

The year three pupils at Moorlands Primary School swapped the classroom to visit Oakes Opticians in Salendine Nook Shopping Centre.

Optometrist Azhar Iqbal spoke to them about eyes and how they allow people to see.

Teacher Caroline Howarth said it was part of ongoing work, which has seen the children visit a dentist too.
