A teenager faces more hospital treatment after an alleged attack at a Huddersfield school.

Ashley Mansfield, 15, suffered serious eye injuries and faces specialist treatment at Bradford Royal Infirmary.

He has already been treated by doctors at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary and Calderdale Royal Hospital after the incident, which happened last Friday at Royds Hall Community School.

Ashley’s mother June Mansfield said: “There was a lot of bruising but the worry is the damage to his eye. He has to go and see the specialists at Bradford.”

Police have confirmed they are investigating the incident. Two teenage boys have been arrested and released on bail pending further inquiries.
