VISITORS are being invited to Huddersfield Technical College's very own motor show.

The exhibition of cars, courses and careers is being staged at the college's purpose-built transport studies centre on Leeds Road.

New cars, sports cars, classic cars, people carriers and motorbikes will be on show during the event on Thursday this week.

Highlights will be a Lotus Seven kit car and a Seat Sport UK racing car from the British Touring Champion- ship.

There will also be workshop demonstrations and a motor trade display, including advanced driving and road safety.

There will also be equipment from the Army's Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers and the chance to win prizes such as British Motor Show tickets and an MP3 player.

Dave Hall, motor vehicle lecturer at the college, said: "It promises to be a great day out for both motor enthusiasts and prospective students.

"Anyone interested in taking a motor vehicle qualification can get some valuable course information and also take a look at the college's well- equipped facilities."

The show runs from noon until 8pm and entry is free.
