A DRIVER was trapped in his car after a traffic accident on a busy road.

The motorist, in his 50s, had to be cut out of his blue MG after it was in collision with a red Toyota on Huddersfield Road in Ravensthorpe yesterday.

Firefighters from Dewsbury were called to the scene near Ravensthorpe Post Office, at 5.25pm.

The motorist, who suffered back and neck injuries, and his passenger were taken to Dewsbury and District Hospital. Two people in the Toyota were treated for neck injuries at the scene.
