CHARITY fundraiser Philippa Stones got a guided tour of the Houses of Parliament as a thank-you for her efforts to help good causes.

Mrs Stones, 36, of Battyeford, Mirfield, was a guest of Dewsbury MP Shahid Malik.

She has raised thousands of pounds for charities, including Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

Caring Philippa has also been to Sri Lanka to help rebuild homes destroyed by the tsunami of Boxing Day 2004.

Mr Malik said: "The work that she's done for charity is worthy of anyone's praise and I take my hat off to her."

Philippa and husband Matthew, a policeman, were thanked by the MP after attending a Children's Society Thank You reception.
