AN MS sufferer died while she was being treated in hospital, an inquest heard.

Lynda Lofthouse, 52, was admitted into Dewsbury District Hospital suffering from abdominal pain.

She was admitted to ward 10 but found dead in bed by staff two days later on May 6.

The married housewife, of Partridge Lane, Dewsbury, was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis last year after suffering from symptoms for four years.

She was wheelchair bound and had a catheter fitted.

A post mortem revealed that Mrs Lofthouse died from sepsis caused by complications relating to her condition.

Coroner Roger Whittaker said the catheter could have facilitated the infection.

He recorded that Mrs Lofthouse died from natural causes.
