A WOMAN whose baby was found dead in a bin bag in the garden of a Barkisland stately home six years ago has been arrested.

An appeal to find Angela Owen was made on last night’s Crime Watch on BBC 1.

Police were looking for her after her baby boy’s body was found in the garden of The Howroyd stately home in Krumlin Road, Barkisland in July 2006.

She was arrested yesterday in Avon and Somerset on suspicion of fraud and other serious offences.

Miss Owen, who rented the old servants’ quarters at Howroyd from January 2002 until May 2003, had last been seen in June 2004 in Weston-super- Mare.
