VANDALS who made mischief night a nightmare for a young mum followed it up by stealing her two-year-old daughter's swing.

Kimberley Lynch fled her home after hooligans targeted her house several times on Thursday evening.

At one point the 21-year-old confronted them, but had to run back inside her home at Farfield Road, Almondbury, for safety.

The house was pelted with eggs and broken glass and the gang of up to 20 boys and girls broke plant pots in her garden.

She said: "I rang the police six times, but they said it was not classed as an emergency and no-one came."

In the end she left the house with her daughter, Kyra, and went to stay with her mother.

But when she returned to the house on Friday she discovered Kyra's swing had been stolen along with all the patio furniture.

Kimberley said: "I'm just so sickened by all this. As if suffering on Thursday night wasn't bad enough, I've now been targeted by thieves.

"Kyra loved that swing and it's heartbreaking it has been stolen."

The garden swing is blue with a dolphin seat. The patio table and four chairs are made from white plastic.
