A YOUNG man was appearing in court today charged with the murder of Bradford policewoman Sharon Beshenivsky.

Yusuf Jama, 19, of Kensington, west London, is also accused of robbery and firearms offences.

He was appearing before magistrates in Leeds.

Pc Beshenivsky, 38, was shot on November 18 as she and a colleague, 37-year-old Pc Teresa Milburn, responded to an armed raid at a travel agent in Bradford city centre.

Pc Milburn was seriously injured in the incident.

Pc Beshenivsky left a husband, three children and two stepchildren. Her youngest child, Lydia, was celebrating her fourth birthday on the day her mother was killed.

Police are still hunting two men wanted in connection with the murder.

Police believe there are people who know where Muzzaker Imtiaz Shah, 24, and Mustaf Jama, 25, are.

Crimestoppers has offered a £50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the killers.
