THE man accused of murdering Kim Driver will face a trial early next year over the alleged offence.

Paul Kelly, 31, of Abbey Road, Fartown, made a brief appearance before a judge at Bradford Crown Court yesterday after being charged with stabbing the 52-year-old to death at his Deighton home between July 10 and July 15, 2010.

Kelly appeared before Dewsbury Magistrates Court at the weekend and was remanded in custody to appear before the crown court for the first time yesterday.

During a preliminary hearing before the Recorder of Bradford Judge James Stewart QC it was confirmed that a two-week trial could begin on January 24.

But first a plea and case management hearing was set for September 28 and Kelly was remanded back into custody until that date.
