Murder bid charge

A MILNSBRIDGE man appeared in court yesterday following an incident in Paddock in which a man was stabbed.

A MILNSBRIDGE man appeared in court yesterday following an incident in Paddock in which a man was stabbed.

Scott McNeill, 31, of Lipscomb Street, appeared at Dewsbury Magistrates' Court charged with attempted murder.

The charge follows an incident at 5.50am on Saturday at an address on Lowergate which saw a 29-year-old Australian man taken to hospital with serious stab wounds.

Mr McNeill was remanded in custody and will appear at Bradford Crown Court next week.

The injured man remains "stable" in hospital.
