THE trial of a man accused of murdering policeman Ian Broadhurst in Leeds last Boxing Day was adjourned until November 16.
The hearing at Newcastle Crown Court was adjourned for legal reasons and the jury which had been sworn in yesterday was formally discharged.
Mr Justice Henriques told the jury yesterday: "You are not going to try this case as it cannot proceed today for legal reasons."
A new trial date was set for November 16 at Newcastle Crown Court.
Bieber, 38, of Springwell Road, Leeds, is accused of the murder of Pc Broadhurst, 34, and the attempted murder of two of his colleagues, Pc Neil Roper, 45, and Pc James Banks, 26, during an alleged incident.
