THE funeral of a former Huddersfield woman murdered in Suffolk will take place next week.

The service for Anneli Alderton, 24, will be the final one for five murder victims.

The funeral of another of the five women killed in Suffolk before Christmas was held yesterday.

Gemma Adams, 25, went missing on November 15. Her naked body was found in a stream in the village of Hintlesham, near Ipswich, on December 2. he was one of five murdered prostitutes found dumped in villages around Ipswich in December.

Miss Adams' funeral took place at St Andrew's Church, Rushmere St Andrew, Ipswich.

Funerals have already been held for the three other victims.

The funerals of Annette Nicholls, 29, and Paula Clennell, 24, took place last week and a funeral service for 19-year-old Tania Nicol was held on Monday.

Miss Alderton, who had a young son, used to live in Primrose Hill and Marsden.

She left Huddersfield almost two years ago to move to Essex with her family, who had been living in Almondbury.

Steve Wright, 48, of Ipswich, has been charged with murdering the five women.

He is in Belmarsh jail in south-east London and is due to appear before Ipswich Crown Court on May 1.
