OXFAM'S store in Mirfield is preparing for a weekend of entertainment to celebrate the charity's annual music month.

It will be open after hours from 5pm to midnight on April 29 and 30 to host an event which will include live music, auctions and raffles.

Massive reductions are promised on all stock at the homewares shop, on Huddersfield Road.

Local musicians will play music from classic hits to original material.

An array of musical instruments will be auctioned on the Saturday evening along with limited edition music prints of well-known performers.

Shop manager Peter Laird said: "The bands and artists will provide an entertaining atmosphere and there will certainly be some happy customers given the reductions that will take place."

Artists confirmed for the weekend include DC Dogs, Red Star, 508 Park Avenue and Phil The Hat.
