A PRIEST whose church is being restored is looking for musicians.

The Rev Rachel Cave, of Whitechapel Church in Cleckheaton, wants to expand the choir and bring in extra instruments to complement the organ.

She said: "We are looking at 2007 as a year of growth and are very encouraged by the extra attendance at our monthly family service.

"We are planning fortnightly services next year and hope to bring some variety to the music."

The roof and bell tower of the Grade II listed building are being restored. English Heritage has given £184,000 towards the £250,000 bill.

Ms Cave is hoping the bell tower will be back in action by January. She said: "We are planning to start next year with bells ringing and voices singing."
