AHMADIYYA Muslims in Huddersfield have celebrated the end of Ramadan.

Members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association marked the end of festival, which involves a month of fasting, with a celebration at the Galpharm Stadium.

The end of Ramadan is known as Eid-ul-Fitr and involves Muslims enjoying a feast with their families and friends.

It is a time for Muslims to reflect on the spiritual improvements they have made during Ramadan.

More than 400 members of the association were at the event, where they listened to a sermon from missionary Laiq Ahmad Tahir.

Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, head of the world wide Ahmadiyya Muslim Association, also gave a sermon, broadcast from London.

Children received sweets and adults were given gifts.
