An investigation into a mystery fire has been launched in Southowram.
Three fire crews from Brighouse, Elland and Halifax raced to Adgil Farm in Adgil Grove on Monday night to tackle a blaze found by a nine-year-old boy in his grandmother’s house.
Flames and smoke were found billowing from an ante-room used for storage at 6.15pm.
Crews acted quickly to contain the blaze and the cause is being investigated.
Brighouse watch commander Nigel Dodd said: “It was an odd fire in an odd place and we could not find an obvious explanation for it.”
The room was badly damaged.
